I believe that academic administration is a profoundly creative act, and to do it I draw on the skills in collaboration, facilitation, storytelling, and project management that I honed in my creative career.

I am currently Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at The New School, where I manage, implement, and improve institution-wide academic affairs processes in academic policy, academic integrity, academic standing, and academic scheduling, and lead initiatives to evaluate and better align academic affairs areas with university mission and vision.

That sounds like it’s a far way away from making performance or teaching to transgress, I know. However, I aim to bring everything I have learned as a teacher and a maker to evolving the systems and structures in which teaching and learning happen, including a serious commitment to wonder, delight, curiosity, and joy.

Previously, I was Associate Provost and Dean of Academics at Columbus College of Art & Design. There, I was responsible for driving the strategic development and transformation of undergraduate and graduate degrees across shared curricular models, as well as youth, adult enrichment, and career development programs. As part of my work there, I was instrumental in launching the Women of Color Equity Design Institute as a collaboration amongst CCAD, Zora's House, the Women's Fund of Central Ohio, and JP Morgan Chase.
